Talks and Workshops
Mini-tour - A 30-minute guided look around the cathedral followed by 30 minutes to explore in small groups. We will match the tour to the theme of your visit. It may be useful to download our "Art, Science and Maths" guidance sheet for all accompanying adults.
Poor Man's Bible - A 45-minute guided exploration of some of the artwork in the cathedral. We decode the stories and messages in the stained glass windows, the green men, the fresco, the tiles and much more.
1066 - 1500 - A 45-minute guided trail. Explore the growth and development of the cathedral from its Saxon beginnings to the Reformation. Discover the massive impact of the Norman invasion upon Rochester.
Travel & Tourism - A 30-minute talk looking at the impact of tourism on the cathedral. We explore the place of the cathedral in the world of heritage visits and discuss our current exciting "Ancient Stones, Untold Stories" HLF-funded project aimed at improving interpretation within the cathedral. Following the talk 30 minutes to independently explore the cathedral is given.
